Help! My Photos Are Stuck...

You've heard about how damaging those sticky albums are, right? "Magnetic" albums are dangerous chemical sandwich. The backing board and the glue are both acidic, which causes a slow fire to eat away at your photographic treasures. And as if that wasn't bad enough, there's a vinyl overlay which causes additional damage from (1) chemicals leaching out of the vinyl itself and (2) trapping the photograph in it's own chemical fog. Stewing in its own juices, so to speak. Not good.

Time for a rescue!

Archivists and conservators use a nifty little tool to gently remove stuck items. It's called a microspatula and it wasn't created for this purpose at all. Actually, the tool is for scooping and pouring out powdered chemicals. It's used primarily by dentists and chemists.

But if I were to design a safe removal tool from scratch, this is exactly what I would create. It's sturdy but slightly flexible. It doesn't have any sharp edges because it's a separator, not a cutting tool.

Our Photo Rescue Kit makes removal easy as 1-2-3!
